Is Duinrell located near the city center? While small, the lounge was comfortable and we really liked the fact there were separate sleeping and lounge spaces. We love the Dutch people and this Year, instead of heading South to the Mediterranean or Adriatic we went to Holland, the first time since our honeymoon 35 years ago.So with our car and caravan we headed to Wassenaar a small town in the South West just North of Dan Haag and to the Duinrell Holiday Park.Duinrell Holiday Park is a large wonderful park set on the edge of the beautiful town of Wassenaar that also has a Theme Park with enough to keep any family busy and also a massive pool complex, the indoor waterpark is chargeable, but the outdoor pool and the theme park is free for people staying at Duinrell.The Dutch are, in my opinion, one of the friendliest people in the whole of Europe, young or older, they are very nice people so it is very hard to be critical.However, Duinrell Holday park has lots of static holiday home your can rent or, like us, there are 15 areas for Tents, Caravans and Motorhomes.We booked Romantisch Kamp, classed as Sunny with Electric and Water none of which was NOT true.First, our pitch number 100, according to the map we were at the end of a small line of pitches, we were not, we were in the middle and although we had electric, we could not connect the mains water to our caravan because it was not a dedicated tap to our pitch but shared with other pitches and we had to go and purchase a water tank as we left ours at home.All the pitches in our area were surrounded by trees and very high edges and most pitches (93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103) were in the shade.I noticed several people arriving in our area and in other areas were having to call reception to get clarity on where their pitches started and ended. it was great value for money considering we got unlimited access to the them park, but having said that we didn't pay full price as we were moved here free of charge when our France accommodation got cancelled. Would not recommend this eurocamp site at all. We ended up going twice and thought it was fab! Usually if we stay in an hotel we’re in one room – the cabin with it’s separated spaces was way preferable, and even though the doors weren’t thick, once our daughter was asleep she wouldn’t be woken up by us watching a movie on the laptop.
